I have a question for anybody using Gram for Python. How does one open a REPL shell with runtime completions at breakpoint in debugger? (Evaluate expression does like 1% of functionality a proper REPL shell.) Is it not yet possible?

  2. nicoco

WizardUli, there is some basic autocompletion in the debugger REPL, but it's pretty bare bones indeed.

`import ipdb; ipdb.set_trace()` can be used as a workaround and I think that is what e.g. PyCharm is using internally though you just place a breakpoint there instead of editing a file.

Perhaps it won't be difficult to add. I still need to get `probe-rs` extension running and I want to understand how it interacts with the editor, maybe it'll give me a clue how to add/expose ipdb like shell from `debugpy`. Just need to find some time for that 😅

Sounds like you know python debugging a lot more than me :)

I’m still unable to submit Gram issues on Codeberg: “Search and filtering is seeing a high influx of requests for this repository, to preserve the availability of Codeberg your search request will not be processed. Sorry for the inconvenience and please try again later.”

  7. krig

oh interesting. Yeah Codeberg is struggling a bit. I think if you have an account and are logged in it should be more available

  8. Rob

Oh, indeed: after logging in I do see the issues page!

Great! Yeah we’ll see how things develop, maybe I will have to think about other options at some point. But I really don’t want to go back to Github. Was considering radicle but that doesn’t seem like the way to go now 😅

Submitted two issues. The Biome.js one is a blocker for me (for moving from VS Codium to Gram).

  11. krig

    great, thank you
